Zoo Tours

Many people love going to the zoo, but often find that they want to stay longer and learn more, but are unable to because of closing times, other obligations, etc. Kids would especially love an action tour. You should have a large van or mini-bus with custom paint for your business. Offer the zoo(s) a cut from your profits. You could charge $15-$30 per person. Choose a specific route for your tour. Get to know everything about the zoo. Get a map and information (names, facts, etc.) on all of the animals there. Give a good two-hour tour for your customers.
If you are a people-person and love talking to people about animals this could be the business idea for you. Most people love learning about all of the different types of animals in zoos'. Often these animals are from other countries or are hard to find anymore on the earth. People love going to the zoo, but find that they want to stay longer and learn more, but they are unable to because of closing times, other obligations, etc. By offering these riding tours, you can cover a large area and people can watch the animals while you are educating them, instead of having to read everything, fight the crowds, and then observe the animals this takes much longer to do.
Kids would especially love an action tour and think of the parents that would love to be able to put their kids on your tour bus and not worry about their safety while on the tour. With these types of tours, you may want to bring out a different type of information that would appeal more to young ones also. You might bring out the great power they possess and the need to show respect for the harm these wild animals are capable of doing.
In order to offer these tours, you should have a large van or mini-bus with custom paint and advertising on it for your business. Offer the zoo(s) a percentage of your profits and they will more than likely be happy to work with you. You should be able to charge $15-$30 per person depending on the length of the tour. You might offer to let children that are able to sit in adult lap's free tours, this way you will not loose the seating space in your vehicle. (Only if safe and the vehicle is moving very slowly at all times) This will also make it easier for large families to afford a tour for the whole family. Try to give your customers a good one, or two, hour tour this should make them happy.
You can choose a specific route for each of your tours. With different emphasis on certain types of animals, or animals from certain countries, you can divide types of tours so that people may want to take an additional tour with you. This will work best with large zoo's that have a lot to see. Be sure to get to know everything about the zoo and the animals you can learn. You also may want to get a map and information (names, facts, etc.) on all of the animals there. The more personal the information you can share, the better your tour will turn out. See if you can talk to the zoo personnel and find out additional information on the animals and their personalities.
