Painting with Some Logic and Creativity

I am not the type of person that would know how to color my rooms in great, beautiful shades that compliment each other. However, when you bring a new approach to selling paints just as you would with cosmetics, you have solved this problem. For many people, this would be a huge convenience. Sell palettes of paints that already go together.

Decorating is a part of many decisions of life. People have to decorate offices, homes, bedrooms, bathrooms, halls; in fact, anywhere people live and stay. Painting is a very important part of the decorating and designing process. This is where you can provide the initiative to start a business providing painting with logic and creative painting ideas.

People sometime find it very difficult to get paints of different colors that compliment each other for painting walls and interiors. So, instead of such people running from company to company for the right combination of paints, you could sell pallets of paint that go right with each other.

Of course, to run this business, you will have to shell out a small investment. You will have to have some space to store all this paint. Having a temperature controlled paint booth where you can offer to supply non-toxic finishes to foam, metal, wood and other materials will prove to be an added advantage to people to approach you for their paint needs. Then of course, you need to invest in shelves to store paint. Having a helper will greatly benefit you in maintaining your paint supplies. With some additional expenditure, you can also invest in a graphic imager wherein you give your customer an idea of how future paint combinations will look on the finished surfaces.

Of course, it is not sufficient just having some space to store your paint; you will also need to spend an investment on advertisements too. Printing business cards, pamphlets and brochures all improve your business prospects. You could include your name, area of expertise and contact information on your business card. Also, in the pamphlet, you could add samples of the work you provide, along with the information you print on the business card. In addition, in the brochure, you could print all the types of paint you offer, the different colors you provide and of course, the different color combinations you can provide your customers.

It is best to advertise your services in some hardware stores, engineers' offices, and real estate offices. After a few projects, it would prove to be beneficial to create a portfolio wherein you include all your completed projects. Replace these projects in the portfolio with better ones as your business prospers. The better the portfolio you show to your potential customers, the more impressed the customer will be.

Then of course, besides investment for the paint, storage, and printing needs, you will also have to make some investment in office equipment and an office space to entertain clients. The basic equipment you will need will be a desk, chairs, and a computer for maintaining your orders and accounts. It is very important that you provide what you claim to provide in the brochure. Once you fail to provide what you promise, it will remain a black spot on the records of your business. If you can satisfy your customers painting needs, the customer is sure to put in a good word for you, and this in itself provides enough advertisement for your business!
