It is All in the Tie

Every businessman, especially those who live and/or work in the city wear a tie at least five times a week. That does not include business trips and meetings. They need a good business tie of the month club! You could offer to send one tie per month for twelve months, for a fee of $12 a month.

This would be a great gift idea for a man that has to wear ties often, especially for the man that wears the same ties repeatedly, thinking no one notices. There are also some men that hate shopping and don't want to spend time looking for a new tie. For men that are not fussy about their ties and welcome a new tie to wear, this could be a great idea.

Offer several different types of memberships in your tie-of-the-month club. You could offer the more expensive designer ties for Executives, which are much more meticulous and charge more for that membership. Call it the Executive tie club, or Designer tie club, membership and charge $50 a month. There could be many different options in-between your Executive and basic tie of the month club memberships.

You could also offer a 'Holiday' tie of the month club, since there are so many holidays the whole year. Offer ties that incorporate each month's holiday; for the whimsical fun tie wearers. On the other hand, you could send a different color tie each month, coinciding with the color of a typical birthstone for each month. Obviously, you have many different options with a 'business idea' like this, take advantage of offering several membership options.

It would be beneficial on your part to buy ties from wholesale suppliers. This will help you maintain a reasonable profit and allow you to offer your club memberships at an attractive price. You might even check local used clothing stores and thrift stores for ties that are in like-new condition, and have them cleaned and pressed. You could sell them as antique, ecologically friendly, or economic.

If you are creative and can sew, you could make your own ties to sell also. This could help you make a sizeable profit on your sales. Just make sure that you research how to construct ties properly. Silk is always the best choice for attractive sturdy ties.

Make sure that each tie is wrapped attractively and packaged well before shipping it to your customers. Fortunately, most ties weigh very little so shipping charges should be reasonably low.

You might advertise your tie club where businessmen are often found, such as coffee shops, deli's, and anywhere else you think they may find your advertisements. If you can afford it, an advertisement in a men's magazine or business magazines could be a good idea too.

You might also carry products that are related to the wearing of ties. You could include advertising of these products with each tie that you ship. You might also offer a discount to your customers that are members; this is always a good practice for a business.
